About Compartment S4

Compartment S4 is a collaborative of 8 architects, all graduates from CEPT University, providing design solutions across Architecture, Urban Design, Social Infrastructure, and Interior Design sectors. Established in 2017, we focus on creating enhanced spatial experiences by exploring alternative materials and techniques, as well as crafting sensitive ways of using conventional materials. We prioritize people-centric design, environmental consciousness, cost sensitivity, and efficient use of resources. Our design philosophy emphasizes functional aesthetics over decorative elements, aiming to benefit the user and minimize environmental impact.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ahmedabad. The Architect will be responsible for developing design concepts, creating detailed architectural plans, and coordinating with clients and project teams. Daily tasks include conducting site visits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, managing project timelines, and addressing client needs and feedback. The role also involves collaborating with other team members to produce innovative and environmentally conscious design solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience required

Proficiency in developing design concepts, creating detailed plans, and conducting site visits

Ability to manage project timelines, ensure regulatory compliance, and address client feedback

Familiarity with environmentally conscious design practices and the use of local resources and techniques

Excellent communication and coordination skills for client and team interactions

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field

Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)

Experience in urban design and interior design is advantageous
