Role Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in
Microsoft SQL Server and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will manage and support mission-critical tolling applications, ensuring smooth data processing, system stability, and SLA adherence.
This role involves
hands-on troubleshooting, database development, and minor enhancements across
.NET and AngularJS layers, while working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Application & Data Operations
- Monitor and manage daily data processing jobs (SQL jobs, stored procedures)
- Handle data ingestion from external systems via APIs and linked servers
- Identify and resolve data issues such as mismatches, failed jobs, and missing transactions
- Execute manual reruns and recovery processes when required
- Issue Resolution & Vendor Coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for production issues
- Coordinate with external vendors (banks, TMS providers)
- Perform root cause analysis using logs, database states, and API responses
- Ensure timely resolution aligned with SLAs
- Database Development & Enhancements
- Develop and optimize stored procedures, queries, and views
- Manage SQL jobs and scheduling
- Work on cross-database queries and linked servers
- Implement data transformation and reconciliation logic
- Change Requests (CRs)
- Implement small to medium changes across:
- Database layer (primary focus)
- .NET APIs (secondary)
- AngularJS UI (minimal involvement)
- Ensure minimal production impact and backward compatibility
- Application Support (.NET Layer)
- Debug and resolve issues in .NET MVC/Web API applications
- Support deployments using IIS (basic level)
- Continuous Improvement
- Improve system reliability and reduce manual interventions
- Enhance monitoring, logging, and data workflows
- Suggest improvements in data pipelines and reconciliation processes
Required Skills
Core Skills (Must-Have)

- Experience in production support environments
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of AngularJS
- Experience in financial/tolling/transaction systems (e.g., FASTag)
- Familiarity with IIS and PowerShell scripting
