Role & Responsibilities - What you will do:

As Senior Android SDK Engineer for Arcade, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance libraries (SDKs) used for monetization, analytics, or game services. Key responsibilities include creating scalable APIs, optimizing for low performance overhead, integrating with Unity and/or other game engines, and ensuring seamless integration across diverse gaming titles.

Your missions will be the following:

• SDK Development: Design and build robust Android SDKs, often involving Kotlin/Java, Gradle Kotlin DSL, and AIDL.
• Performance Optimization: Minimize SDK startup impact, manage resources efficiently, and reduce binary size to prevent impacting game stability.
• Integration Support: Collaborate with game teams to integrate SDKs for ads, analytics, or user authentication, and resolve technical issues.
• Technical Leadership: Champion best-in-class engineering practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend teams, product managers, and UI/UX designers to define and implement core features.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of Android development experience, with significant hands-on work in building Android libraries / SDKs (AARs)
• Language: Expert-level knowledge of Kotlin and Java. Experience with gradlecustom build configurations.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Android application lifecycle, process management, and background execution limits. Strong expertise in multi-threading and concurrency.
• Game Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Unity or other gaming engines is a plus, particularly for integration.
