We are looking for a QA Software Engineer with strong Android development expertise to join our team. The role focuses on APK development, debugging, validation, and testing activities within Android host platforms and embedded environments.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop Java-based Android applications, perform validation activities, support CI/CD processes, and contribute to scripting and automation for new features. This role requires strong debugging capabilities, embedded system knowledge, and hands-on experience with Android development tools.
Your tasks
- Developing Java-based APKs for Android host platforms
- Performing validation activities for delivery
- Debugging and troubleshooting using Android Studio
- Working on Jenkins-related CI/CD issues
- Supporting embedded system testing activities
- Developing scripts for new features and enhancements
- Collaborating with development and testing teams to ensure product quality
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong proficiency in Java and Android APK development
- Hands-on experience with Android build environments
- Previous work on embedded boards (Android RB3 DragonBoard preferred)
- Knowledge of NFC technology
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Understanding of SCM tools (Git or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Nice to have
- Familiarity with embedded testing environments
- Experience in NFC validation and testing
- Python scripting knowledge
