About the Role
Free Press Journal is expanding its digital video and social content operations and is looking
for a Senior Anchor to lead from the front. This is a high-ownership, on-camera editorial role for someone who understands news deeply, can command attention on screen, and knows how to tell stories that work on digital platforms, without compromising editorial integrity. You are not just reading news. You are shaping narratives, leading formats, and setting the quality bar for digital video.
What You Will Do
- Anchor and present digital news videos, explainers, and special formats
- Conduct interviews with newsmakers, experts, and public figures
- Break down complex news into clear, engaging, audience-friendly narratives
- Work closely with the video newsroom and production teams to deliver high-quality
- output
- Mentor junior anchor-producers and contribute to newsroom editorial discussions
- Maintain accuracy, credibility, and strong editorial judgment at all times
- Adapt storytelling for digital-first formats (shorts, long-form, platform-specific videos)
What We're Looking For -
Proven experience in:
- Anchoring news
- Interviewing senior stakeholders
- Scriptwriting and editorial storytelling
- Deep understanding of current affairs, politics, business, and culture
- Ability to think editorially and present engagingly for digital audiences
- Strong network of sources and comfort dealing with public figures
- Excellent spoken English (Hindi is a plus; additional languages welcome)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment

- This is not a voice-over or teleprompter-only role
- This is not a social media influencer role
- This is not a desk-only producer position
