Title (Senior Analyst Programmer)

Department GPS Delivery - Client Account Management

We are GPS Delivery, part of the wider Global Platform Solutions division within Fidelity. We support a variety of customers, including Retail, Workplace and Institutional investors in the wholesale, direct investing and advised channels. We operate through a capability structure which means we work together across several disciplines, providing cross functional expertise and striving to be as efficient and as excellent as we can be. GPS Delivery are responsible for all aspects of client record keeping and transaction processing across a wide range of investment and lifetime savings products too. We are made up of many different teams all focused on doing the right thing for the customer.

Necessary Skills are:

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Core Java (17) , Microservices, APIs, AWS cloud components and Kubernetes containerization development experience.
• Hands on experience on AWS cloud-based components (Eg: ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail) including the knowledge around Docker containers. Instead of AWS, technical knowhow on Google-cloud or Azure is also acceptable.
• Spring Framework (Spring boot, Spring Core, Spring AOP ), Spring - Restful Services, JSON, XML, HTML5, technologies.
• RDS, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, Jenkins, CI CD DevOps, GitHub, GIT, Security Tools, JS/DS, SOAP, Rest APIs, Mockito, Kubernetes Containerization Tools, Layer-7 / Apigee Gateway, XML etc.
• Experience in creating REST-API/Web Service based interface with usage of Swagger documentation for API's.
• Used CI/CD based Devops tools like Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.
• Junit, Mockito frameworks for unit testing.
• Good analytical and problem resolution skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience on any containerization tool- PaaS Cloud foundry or Docker/Kubernetes.
• Worked in agile development methodologies like Scrum using ALM tools like Jira/confluence.
• Knowledge around Web Servers and Application servers like Tomcat, Websphere/JBoss/WebLogic.

I am a results-driven software engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using Core Java (Java 17), Microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs. I have strong expertise in designing cloud-native solutions and deploying them on AWS, with practical exposure to services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

I am experienced in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, enabling efficient application deployment, scalability, and resilience. I follow best practices in microservices development, including API versioning, fault tolerance, logging, and monitoring. Additionally, I have working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud security fundamentals.
