About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Global Payroll to support and execute payroll operations across APAC. This role requires deep expertise in global payroll processes, with a strong emphasis on payroll compliance. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM, ActivPay, and ADP Celergo, and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

You'll be the subject matter expert APAC. We have presence in: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting — while also collaborating with external vendors for other countries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines hands-on India, Japan, China and Thailand payroll expertise with a strong understanding of global payroll complexities.

What You'll Do

APAC Payroll Responsibility:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for APAC payroll across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, ensuring full compliance with local labor laws and regulations in each jurisdiction.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for direct countries (India, Japan, Thailand), including statutory filings: India's TDS, PF, ESI, and PT; Japan's shakai hoken and kosei nenkin submissions; Thailand's Social Security Fund (SSF) and PIT withholding.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of statutory benefits, mandatory contributions, and country-specific entitlements — including Australia's Superannuation and STP Phase 2 reporting, Japan's annual salary settlement (nencho), South Korea's National Pension and Health Insurance, and Hong Kong's MPF contributions.
  • Oversee compliance with APAC-specific requirements such as leave accruals mandated by local legislation (e.g., India's Factories Act, Japan's Labor Standards Act), country-specific bonus and allowance structures, and any applicable collective agreements or enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) in Australia.
  • Coordinate with in-country payroll vendors across China, Hong Kong, and South Korea; act as primary point of contact and manage vendor performance against SLAs, validate outputs, and resolve escalations.
  • Partner with local HR, Finance, and legal stakeholders to stay current on legislative changes impacting payroll, including annual tax table updates, minimum wage adjustments, and social insurance rate changes across APAC jurisdictions.
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation for all APAC payroll activities, including maintenance of audit trails aligned to local record-retention requirements.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to align monthly close, accruals, and reporting — including GL reconciliation for all APAC entities.

Global Payroll Responsibility:

  • Independently manage and process payroll across multiple global entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to support international employee populations and maintain payroll accuracy.
  • Coordinate with third-party payroll vendors; act as the primary point of contact and manage vendor performance and SLA adherence.
  • Validate vendor outputs, ensure data accuracy, and resolve complex global payroll issues.
  • Reconcile global payroll results, validate general ledger (GL) files, and coordinate approvals with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure complete and accurate integration of payroll inputs and outputs between Oracle Fusion HCM and third-party payroll platforms (ActivPay, ADP Celergo).
  • Support integration and implementation of payroll systems, enhancements, and process improvements globally.
  • Support all global statutory filings, year-end reporting, and compliance requirements in each jurisdiction.
  • Provide high-quality support to employees and internal stakeholders on payroll matters globally.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of APAC payroll experience, including full ownership of end-to-end processing and statutory filings.
  • Hands-on experience running payroll via Oracle Fusion HCM (essential).
  • Global payroll experience (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas) and vendor coordination.
  • Strong understanding of Payroll statutory pay schemes.
  • Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
