Job Title: Senior Data Analytics / BI Engineer (9+ Years Experience)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analytics professional with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, ETL processes, and data pipeline development. The role involves designing scalable data solutions, enabling business intelligence, and driving end-to-end data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from multiple sources (APIs, databases, cloud platforms)
- Build robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data into data warehouses/data lakes
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across pipelines
2. Data Modeling & Transformation
- Develop optimized data models (star/snowflake schemas) for analytics and reporting
- Implement complex data transformations using SQL and ETL tools
- Work with large-scale datasets and optimize performance
3. Power BI Development
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Create advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and calculated columns
- Optimize report performance and ensure usability for business stakeholders
4. SQL & Database Management
- Write complex, efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
- Work with databases such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar
- Perform query optimization and performance tuning
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business teams to understand requirements and translate into data solutions
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis
- Support decision-making through actionable dashboards
6. Data Governance & Best Practices
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
- Maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and reports
- Implement best practices for scalability and maintainability
Required Skills
- Power BI (Advanced: DAX, data modeling, performance tuning)
- SQL (Advanced querying, optimization)
- ETL Tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, AWS Glue, etc.)
- Data Pipeline Development (batch & near real-time)
- Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure preferred)
- Data Warehousing Concepts (Star schema, Snowflake schema)
Good to Have
- Experience with Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Exposure to streaming data (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka)
- Knowledge of Python/R for data processing
- Experience in Athena, S3, Redshift, Snowflake
Experience & Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in Data Analytics / BI / Data Engineering
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
