Job overview

The Financial Crime and Compliance (FCC) technology and services team focuses on current and emerging trends across the FCC lifecycle (e.g., sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, KYC/CTF, fraud prevention, case management, investigations, and regulatory change management) and assesses how these trends shape corresponding software products, platforms, data models, and operational ecosystems. This team advises enterprises, technology/platform providers, and service providers on how the FCC technology stack should evolve to meet tightening regulatory expectations, rising financial crime risks, and rapid advancements in analytics and automation. From our published research to custom decision support, the FCC team equips clients with fact-based insights to analyze market shifts, thematic issues, and provider capabilities across the FCC landscape.

As this is a fast-evolving domain, the Senior Analyst is expected to continuously track developments in the FCC industry in line with regulatory updates, evolving typologies, emerging risk vectors, and innovation across the technology and service provider ecosystem. This includes monitoring specialist FCC technology vendors, broader data and analytics platforms, digital workflow and case management solutions, and managed services/BPaaS providers that support end-to-end or modular FCC processes. The Senior Analyst will contribute to the research program by producing high-quality, original research and custom advisory projects. The role requires maintaining ongoing dialogue with senior executives at financial institutions and FCC technology and service providers on key challenges and opportunities and supporting their inquiries with relevant insights. The candidate will also deliver custom research engagements within the FCC technology domain and collaborate with technology product marketing, growth, and strategy practitioners to derive implications for the industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify areas of research based on industry and client needs
  • Problem solve and structure work to manage deliverables and timelines
  • Contribute significantly to the published research agenda of the FCC practice
  • Lead medium sized custom research engagements
  • Actively augment domain expertise and build a PoV across FCC technology platform areas in various lines of businesses, via market tracking, and connecting with internal/external SMEs
  • Support business development efforts through proposal writing and other initiatives
  • Participate proactively in external market communication by responding to analyst inquiries, conducting executive conversations, and maintaining/growing long-term client relationships

Education & experience

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred (preferably from Tier-1 B-School)
  • Experience in at least one product/platform used in FCC industry (such as Nice Actimize, Moody's, Quantexa, ComplyAdvantage or screening platforms such as LexisNexis Risk Solutions, LSEG World-Check, or Symphony AI ) is a must
  • 2 to 4 years of work experience as one of the following:
  • Business analyst leading configuration or implementation of FCC technology platforms as mentioned above
  • Consultant advising BFS enterprises on product/platform selection exercises
  • Product manager or client success manager for an FCC product/ platform provider
  • Strong understanding of products/platforms used in banking and financial services and their features and functionalities
  • History of excellence in academics, personal, and vocational achievements
