Role: Senior AI Engineer (Applied LLM / Agentic Systems)

Role summary:-
Design and build reliable AI systems for SaaS products. Focus on applied work: agentic workflows, evaluation pipelines, and production-grade LLM integration not research.
What you will build:-
- Agentic workflows: task orchestration, tool use, failure handling
- Evaluation pipelines: accuracy measurement, hallucination detection, regression tests
- Production reliability: retries, fallbacks, cost/latency optimization
Responsibilities:-
- Design agentic systems with clear success metrics
- Implement reliability mechanisms (timeouts, safe outputs, graceful degradation)
- Build evaluation harnesses for LLM quality (offline and in-product)
- Optimize prompt design, caching, batching, and model selection for cost/latency
- Partner with product and engineering to define measurable outcomes
Required qualifications:-
- Applied LLM - Prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool/function calling patterns
- Production experience - Built and operated LLM applications (monitoring, incident response, cost controls)
- RAG - Understands trade-offs: when to retrieve, what to index, how to evaluate
- Pragmatic delivery - Measurable improvements over theoretical novelty
- Communication - Clear English; remote collaboration maturity
Nice-to-have:-
- SME back-office or workflow-heavy domain experience
- Open-source model fine-tuning or serving
- Security/privacy awareness for enterprise data handling
