Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior AI Business Analystwith deep banking domain knowledge, proven stakeholder managementskills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable AI and automation solutions.
The ideal candidate combines business acumen, analytical thinking, and product mindset capable of defining use cases, writing functional and design documents, and working closely with data scientists, engineers, and delivery teams to bring AI-led products to life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Engage with business and technology stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI/automation opportunitiesin banking domains (e.g., KYC/AML, credit assessment, onboarding, fraud prevention, servicing, or collections).
- Lead requirement-gathering workshops; translate business goals into user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments for proposed AI initiatives.
- Define clear acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment between business expectations and technical delivery.
2. Solution Design & Documentation
- Author detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Design Documents (FDD), and Solution Design Documents (SDD)for AI and automation projects.
- Work collaboratively with architects, data scientists, and engineers to define solution flows, data dependencies, and model integration approaches.
- Ensure traceability from business requirements through design and implementation.
- Participate in UAT planning, test case validation, and sign-off activities.
3. Product Ownership & Road mapping
- Act as a Product Owneror proxy PO for AI-led initiatives defining product vision, roadmap, backlog, and feature prioritization.
- Translate user and business needs into product capabilities, ensuring iterative delivery of business value.
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle from ideation to deployment, including MVP definition, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demos.
- Partner with data and technology teams to ensure scalability, compliance, and performance of delivered AI solutions.
4. Stakeholder & Change Management
- Build trusted relationships with senior business sponsors, data leaders, and technology partners.
- Effectively communicate progress, risks, and value realization to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Support change management, training, and adoption efforts to embed AI capabilities in business operations.
- Act as a key liaison between business, data, and engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- 812 yearsof total experience, with at least 5 yearsin business analysis roles and 3+ yearsin AI, analytics, or automation projects.
- Strong Banking or Financial Services domain knowledge ideally in one or more areas: retail or corporate banking, lending, onboarding, compliance, or risk management.
- Proven experience in authoring BRDs, FDDs, SDDs, and other design documents.
- Prior experience acting as a Product Owneror proxy PO, preferably in an Agile/SAFe environment.
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML, NLP, or process automation technologies (RPA/IDP)and how they apply in financial workflows.
- Strong stakeholder managementand communication skills ability to bridge business intent with technical implementation.
- Familiarity with data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), API integrations, and AI lifecycle concepts.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to Generative AIor agentic automationinitiatives.
- Understanding of model explainability, data ethics, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, AML, etc.)in banking.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and Agile documentation tools.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or Pythonfor validation or analytics (optional).
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, Agile PO, or Product Management credentialsare a plus.
