WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The newly created One Performance Management Team has consolidated four separate performance teams into one: these are the Strategy, Global Performance Management, CDMO, and Unilever Business Operations finance teams. Within this new scope:
- A central Finance Excellence Team (FET) was established.
- Controlling activities were consolidated into one independent team.
- This has liberated Finance Business Partners (FBP) from performance management to focus on value moments.
Main FBP responsibilities will include:
- Being the Strategic finance lead for our Commercial Experience service line, which comprises Finance Operations and Supplier Operations.
- Being part of the Leadership team, creating and monitoring strategy.
- Being a core member of strategic projects.
- Maintaining strong relationships and networks across One Performance Team finance, acting as the point of contact for business product/foundation teams.
- Partnering end to end on value interventions:
- Business case preparation, scenario modelling, and evaluation through to implementation.
- Remit covers Capex, Restructuring, and F4G interventions.
- Exercising rigorous and challenging scrutiny over costs and benefits, and interventions on project performance.
- Maintaining agility so that expertise can be quickly shifted to the next value intervention which may be outside of core strategic responsibilities.
- Financial involvement in major contract negotiations/development with 3rd parties.
- Acting as key partner to Procurement Finance during the CPM (Collaborative Procurement Model) process of contracts coming up for review.
- Supporting validation of financial business cases and cost modelling, including treasury and tax considerations.
- Ensuring strategic alignment between new contract negotiations and UniOps service provision.
- Providing data analytics with Contract Managers (and linkage to FET team).
- Supporting communication and change management of major initiatives through clusters and functions.
Note: Following the creation of the One Performance Management Team, all routine FP&A and FET related UniOps activities will be managed by the Central FET, allowing FBPs to focus on value interventions. This includes but is not limited to:
- Forecasting
- Route to Budget
- FCCR / Intercompany / Cross-charges
- Opex & Capex actuals management
- Performance updates
- Master data management

- Qualified accountant or equivalent.
