- Strong Knowledge in Electrical hardware components of systems, including breakers, fuses, overload locations, magnetic contactors, I/O circuitry, closed-loop outputs, and feedback.
- Proficient in manufacturer's drawing symbols, numbering systems, interconnection diagrams, and electrical cabinet layouts.
- Proficient in Heavy Electrical Equipment Installation.
- Collaborate with Equipment Engineering and Service teams to ensure accurate representation and integration of electrical hardware components in Electrical system designs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, such as NFPA 79 and NEMA 250, in the selection and installation of electrical equipment.
- Create testing and inspection plans for wire harnesses, panels, and Equipment electrical systems for continuity and proper functioning.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure electrical hardware components that meet the required specifications and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting electrical hardware issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Implement the Standard Specification Process to author outsource packages with standard, verifiable, and high-quality requirements for electrical test equipment's
- Utilize a Systems Engineering approach to decompose the production system and derive a complete set of requirements.
- Analyze equipment data, including performance metrics, maintenance records, and failure data, to identify trends and potential reliability issues. Develop and implement strategies to improve Electrical equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Understand Electrical equipment repair, part interchangeability, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices. This includes knowledge of procedures for resolving asset non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Familiarity with electrical design and documentation standards and principles. Ability to produce engineering documentation and technical schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
Basic Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Strong Knowledge in Wire Harness Design Definitions, Routings, Connection schematics, Load Analysis & Calculations
- Strong knowledge of Electrical hardware components, including Breakers, Fuses, Overload locations, Magnetic Contactors, I/O circuitry, closed-loop outputs, and feedback.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical equipment repair, part interchangeability, maintenance, and retrofit processes
- 5+ years of Experience in Manufacturer's drawing symbols, Numbering systems, Interconnection diagrams, and Electrical cabinet layouts.
- Understanding relevant electrical standards, such as NFPA 79, NEMA 250, IEC 60947, IEC 60364
- Experience in decomposing complex systems and deriving requirements.
- Proven experience in capital equipment requisition process or procurement.
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and failure investigations.
Typical Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's with 9 to 12 years of experience / Master's degree with 8 to 11 years experience in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
