Job Description

1. Role Summary

A Senior Accounts Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices, vendor bills, and statutory dues.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliation statements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters and approvals.
  • Review work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance.
  • 3. Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred).

    4. Experience

    • Typically 58 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Experience in financial reporting, taxation, and audit support.
  • 5. Key Skills

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, ERP systems).
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Good communication and team management skills.
