We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with expertise in inventory management to join our leading jewellery firm in Kerala. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of experience in accounting, specifically focusing on inventory processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the inventory accounting processes for the jewellery business.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard inventory assets.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate accounting for purchases and stock.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to inventory management.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably Tally or SAP.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of jewellery industry standards and practices is a plus.
