Senior Accountant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with mandatory experience in B2C and eCommerce accounting. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience managing financial records, reconciling accounts, handling online sales accounting, and ensuring tax compliance. Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and various payment gateways is essential. Experience in the eCommerce industry or similar will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways (Razorpay, Paytm, etc.), and eCommerce settlements.
• Process invoices, receipts, and vendor payments with accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle payroll processing, including PF and ESI contributions, and maintain employee-related financial records.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, PF, and ESI returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax and labor laws.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable; follow up on outstanding dues.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify financial discrepancies, analyze trends, and suggest cost-control improvements.
• Coordinate and support external audits with complete documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and legal requirements, including PF and ESI guidelines.
• Collaborate with operations, inventory, and marketing teams for order flow and cost accounting accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (M.Com preferred).
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a B2C or eCommerce environment (mandatory).
• Experience in the eCommerce industry or similar is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or other relevant accounting software.
• Strong understanding of Indian taxation, especially GST, TDS, and PF & ESI compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS reporting).
• Experience handling eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.
• Experience managing PF and ESI contributions and compliance for employees.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
• Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
