Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, daily financial entries, vendor payments, compliance activities, and monthly reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in handling high-volume transactions, particularly in the food industry, FMCG, or retail sector. This role requires accuracy, integrity, and the ability to independently manage the accounting function.

Roles & Responsibilities Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record day-to-day financial transactions in Tally Prime and Google Sheets .

Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and supporting documents.

Manage daily sales entries, expense entries, and reconciliations. Financial Reporting

Prepare Bank Statement Reconciliation (BRS) and Monthly MIS reports .

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Provide financial insights and variance analysis to management - P&L & Balance Sheets. Payments & Compliance

Handle vendor payments after proper verification and approvals.

Process employee salaries and support payroll-related financial tasks.

Manage statutory payments including TDS, GST, PT , and other compliance-related remittances.

Ensure timely filing and support auditors with documentation. Verification & Controls

Verify payout requests, invoices, and supporting documents.

Ensure internal financial controls and accuracy in payment processing.

Coordinate with departments for clarifications and approvals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: B.Com or higher (M.Com / MBA Finance preferred).

Experience: Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience.

Experience in Food Industry / FMCG / Retail with large daily transaction volumes is mandatory .

Strong working knowledge of Tally and Google Sheets

. Excellent understanding of bookkeeping, BSR, MIS, TDS, GST, PT, and payroll processes.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership.

Ability to work independently and meet timelines.
