Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Indian accounting. Key Responsibilities
Indian Accounting (Primary Responsibility):
- Daily Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, Accounts Payable (AP)/Accounts Receivable (AR), ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, PF/ESIC, and other statutory returns.
- Payroll & Labor Laws: Handle monthly payroll, reimbursements, and ensure compliance with Indian labor laws.
- Bookkeeping Standards: Maintain books of accounts strictly as per Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Audit & Authority Coordination: Coordinate effectively with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
- Financial Reporting: Generate MIS reports, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and balance sheets regularly for internal review.
US Internal Bookkeeping (Support Role):
- Record Keeping: Maintain financial records in US accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online or Xero).
- Transaction Processing: Accurately record day-to-day transactions, expenses, vendor bills, and payments.
- Bank Reconciliations: Assist in monthly reconciliations of US bank and credit card accounts.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the US finance team to support internal reporting, budgeting, and documentation needs.
- Training: Full training on US bookkeeping procedures and tools will be provided internally.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 4-5 years of full-time experience in Indian accounting roles.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, or similar Indian accounting software.
- Tax & Compliance: Up-to-date understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance.
- MS Office/Google Sheets: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Communication: Good written and spoken English for seamless coordination with US counterparts.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semi-qualified CA / CA Inter / M.Com.
- Exposure to international accounting practices or working with global teams.
- Familiarity with US accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus, but not mandatory.
