Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Manage and oversee the general ledger and journal entries
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of returns
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and insights
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
