Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting activities (RTR/GL) for both our UK subsidiary and US parent entity. This role is an individual contributor position responsible for journal entries, month-end close, multicurrency accounting, statutory audit support, and operational accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively across time zones in a fast-paced multinational environment. Flexibility to work the night shift (5 PM 2 AM IST)
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Accounting & Month-End Close
- Prepare and post daily journal entries in compliance with UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Support month-end close for both the UK and US entities, including accruals, prepaid adjustments, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate monthly fixed asset schedules, including additions, retirements, and depreciation.
- Support the Accounts Payable function when necessary, including invoice review, coding, routing, and issue resolution.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure alignment between accounting actuals and financial reporting.
- Support weekly and monthly cashflow reporting and forecasting, ensuring clear visibility into liquidity and upcoming obligations.
- Assist with preparation and submission of VAT returns for entities
Intercompany, Multicurrency & Operational Support
- Prepare and manage intercompany billing and reconciliations between entities.
- Collaborate effectively with both US and UK teams, ensuring clarity and timeliness across time zone differences.
- Handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality and integrity.
- Provide support on ad hoc accounting inquiries and operational projects.
Audit & Compliance
- Support UK statutory financial statement audits, including preparing schedules and providing audit documentation.
- Assist with financial statement audits related to US GAAP reporting.
- Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and statutory requirements (excluding internal control documentation ownership).
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor with strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across US and UK teams and time zones.
- Proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive financial information.
Preferred
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Experience within multinational or multi-entity structures.
- Experience with multicurrency accounting and FX processes.
- Prior exposure to statutory reporting requirements under UK/US GAAP.
- Highly proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable navigating shift priorities in a dynamic global environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability, organization, and time-management skills.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and confident when working with cross-border partners.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

- The base salary range advertised represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
