Job Description
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-obsessed Accountant to own the books and statutory compliance across a group of companies. You'll be the person who makes sure every entry, invoice, return, agreement and filing is accurate, on time and easy to find. A CA qualification is not required. We care far more about proven, practical expertise in bookkeeping, GST, TDS and payroll, and about the discipline to keep records audit-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounts
- Maintain complete, accurate books for multiple companies, including journal entries, ledgers, bank and credit card reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer invoicing and collections follow-up.
- Prepare monthly closings, trial balances, and MIS reports for each entity.
- Support statutory and internal audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations and documentation.
GST
- Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and annual returns (GSTR-9/9C) for all entities.
- Reconcile Input Tax Credit against GSTR-2A/2B and follow up with vendors on mismatches.
- Handle e-invoicing, e-way bills, GST registrations and amendments, and responses to notices.
TDS & Income Tax
- Compute and deduct TDS correctly across all payment types, including salaries, professional fees, contractors and rent.
- Deposit TDS on time, file quarterly returns (24Q/26Q), and issue Form 16/16A.
- Reconcile TDS with Form 26AS/AIS and support advance tax and income-tax return filings.
Payroll
- Run monthly payroll end to end: salary structuring, tax computation under both old and new regimes, investment declarations and proofs.
- Manage PF, ESI and Haryana Labour Welfare Fund compliance and filings.
- Handle full & final settlements, reimbursements and payroll reconciliations.
Legal & Corporate Compliance
- Maintain an organised repository of all agreements (vendor, client, employment, NDAs, leases) and track renewals, expiry dates and key obligations.
- Coordinate with legal and company secretarial advisors on ROC/MCA filings, board resolutions and statutory registers.
- Maintain a compliance calendar across all entities so that no deadline is missed.
- Ensure all financial and legal records are properly documented, indexed and audit-ready.
What We're Looking For
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent. CA Inter, CMA Inter or MBA (Finance) is a plus.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience managing books and compliance for multiple companies simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, payroll and labour-law compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and/or Zoho Books, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, reconciliations).
- Familiarity with the GST portal, TRACES, the income-tax portal, the EPFO/ESIC portals and the MCA portal.
- Understanding of commercial agreements and how their terms affect accounting and compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a documentation mindset, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines independently.
Good to Have
- Experience in technology, startup or group-company environments.
- Exposure to inter-company transactions, transfer pricing documentation or fundraising due diligence.
Why Join Us
- Ownership of the finance and compliance function across a growing group of companies.
- Direct exposure to leadership and a fast-moving business environment.
