Your Roles and Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who's going to win our client's confidence by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the markets in which they operate, how the media works and a diligent approach to delivering flawless documents. To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us experience in:

• Coordinating all PR activities in coordination with the team for the client accounts
• Developing a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media. Developing strategic PR plans using research and insights, campaign planning methodologies and use of sophisticated measurement and evaluation tools
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Mapping stakeholders who'd have an interest and impact on our client's world
• Designing pitches and storylines that would place our client's issues at the heart of relevant conversations
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Identifying opportunities in the media for our clients to be featured in
• Building trust within the team and providing direction to junior team members as a role model
• Working with senior team members on converting new business opportunities

How We'd Expect You To Split Your Time

Very thoughtfully. But here's an indicative split as a guide:

• Client Relationship Management: 30%
• Media Relations: 20%
• Team Management & Mentorship: 30%
• New Business Development: 20%

What You'll Need (must haves for the role)

• 8+ years relevant work experience in sectors like healthcare, youth skilling, social impact and progress towards Sustainable Development Goals
• Proficiency in editing, writing and formatting of documents, for e.g. final drafts of strategy documents, PR plans and proposals and reviews for client meetings
• Ability to provide advice and support our clients in navigating media in crisis communication
• Experience of successfully managing client events (press conferences, media briefings, interactions and follow-ups at national and regional level)

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Affairs/ Public Relations
• Experience managing large account portfolios
• Ability to integrate social media into PR plans
• Freshly brewed coffee-making skills. But don't worry, we won't judge you for it.
