Job Description

Position: Academic Counsellor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Andheri Mumbai

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team and drive student engagement and enrolment. As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a critical role in helping students make informed decisions about their education, guiding them through our offerings, and building strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential students, clients, and target markets. Generate leads through various channels, including online research, networking, and outreach. Collaborate with local schools and communities.

Student Counselling: Engage with prospective students in-person and over the phone to understand their academic background, career objectives, and learning preferences.

Enrolment Assistance: Assist students with the enrolment process, including course selection, fee

payment, and registration. Follow up with potential leads and encourage them to join our programs.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders. Understand individual needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Provide exceptional service to ensure satisfaction.

Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to achieve enrollment and revenue targets. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to students and parents. Negotiate and close enrollments effectively.

Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, student preferences, and competitor activities. Analyze data to identify new business opportunities.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, sales activities, and follow-ups. Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management.

Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, academic, and operations teams to achieve collective goals. Provide feedback to the product and academic teams based on student insights.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Minimum 1 year of proven experience as an Academic Counsellor or in the EdTech/education industry

Strong understanding of education products and services

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools

Self-motivated with a customer-first mindset and a result-oriented approach
