Summary
As a Self-Direction Program Specialist at KanTime, you will serve as a key implementation lead and subject matter expert in Self-Directed Services (SDS), including Financial Management Services (FMS), Participant-Directed Services, and Employer Authority models. You will guide customers through the end-to-end onboarding, configuration, training, and go-live processes using KanTime's industry-leading SaaS platform. This role requires deep knowledge of SDS workflows, Medicaid waivers, and program rules, combined with a consultative approach to training and project management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementations of KanTime's Self-Directed Services platform, including discovery, setup, training, go-live support, and transition to ongoing support.
- Train agency staff and stakeholders (financial intermediaries, case managers, employers, participants) on KanTime's SDS workflows and features.
- Configure system components specific to SDS including budgeting, payroll mapping, timesheet capture, employer/worker setup, spending plans, and program-specific rule engines.
- Serve as the SME for Medicaid waivers and Self-Directed programs across various states, guiding clients through best practices and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain implementation project plans specific to SDS with defined milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, QA, and Support teams to resolve implementation issues and enhance SDS-related product capabilities.
- Assist in preparing custom training content, knowledge base articles, and go-live readiness materials tailored for the SDS client base.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in or implementing Self-Directed Services or Financial Management Services (FMS) programs
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs, EVV (Electronic Visit Verification), and SDS models (Employer Authority, Budget Authority, Agency with Choice)
- Prior experience with SaaS or EMR/EHR software implementation or training preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Ability to travel occasionally (up to 20%) for onsite implementations or trainings
