Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer with 26 years of experience to protect our systems and networks from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and monitor security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with IT teams to ensure a secure and resilient technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems to safeguard systems and networks.
- Monitor network and system activity for security incidents, anomalies, and potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, investigating causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure secure architecture and practices.
- Maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement and manage encryption, authentication, and access control protocols.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, cybersecurity trends, and best practices to proactively protect systems.
- Participate in security awareness training and guide teams on secure practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 26 years of professional experience in network and system security, cybersecurity engineering, or related roles.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with network security tools, SIEM platforms, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of encryption, authentication protocols, and secure system design.
