This high-impact role in our Global Product Security team supports the development and execution of cybersecurity and privacy programs across Johnson Controls. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet cybersecurity regulations and customer expectations while supporting growth and managing supply chain risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate projects addressing customer cybersecurity and privacy requirements.
- Work across sales, product development, product security, and IT security teams to align strategies.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing materials: FAQs, messaging libraries, documentation, etc.
- Capture and analyze market data and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support product vulnerability disclosure processes and track market acceptance.
- Report regularly to leadership on Johnson Controls cybersecurity standing and initiatives.
- Assist in security assessments for mergers and acquisitions.
- Translate technical cybersecurity features into clear, business-oriented value messaging.
- Monitor regulatory trends and ensure communications comply with relevant laws and certifications.
- Help create marketing and promotional materials including blogs, brochures, videos, spec sheets, and more.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and marketing to maintain consistent brand messaging.
- Contribute to internal education on cybersecurity trends and requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, especially in smart buildings or operational technologies.
- Strong communication skills – capable of simplifying technical topics for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with cybersecurity risk, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Technical project management experience, preferably in agile environments.
- Proven collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to analyze and connect customer security needs with product capabilities and strategic messaging.
- Experience in content creation for technical marketing and customer education.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot) is a plus.
