Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in analyzing cyber threats.
  • Experience in security analysis, security assessment, risk analysis, and risk assessments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in security operations or assurance.
  • Experience in conducting security assessments or reviews to assess underlying risk.
  • Proficiency in automation, process optimization, and security tools to improve assessment efficiency.
  • Ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.

Enterprise Security Operations (ESO) drives global security operations across the organization. Our mission is to unify security operations, enhancing automation, efficiency, and overall security for Alphabet. This fast-paced team seeks to continuously take on new security processes, operate them, and automate them away, while helping team members grow towards a career in information security.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Responsibilities

  • Conduct varied security reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Apply security judgment to approve/deny/escalate requests based on risk and policy alignment.
  • Develop strong understanding of Google's internal security frameworks, controls, and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business units to provide security guidance and facilitate informed decision-making. Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
