Security Analyst

About the Role:

ASEC Engineers – A Verdantas Company is seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our dynamic Pune office.

At ASEC Engineers – A Verdantas Company, your expertise will drive the protection of our digital infrastructure by proactively monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats. Take the lead in conducting thorough security assessments, managing incident response efforts, and ensuring full compliance with internal policies and external regulations—all while playing a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our technological ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network traffic and system activity for security incidents and anomalies.
• Investigate and respond to security alerts, breaches, and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, encryption, and other security tools.
• Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and best practices.
• Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive measures.
• Document incidents and maintain detailed security logs and reports.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure system configurations.

Core Competencies:

• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and system hardening techniques.
• Threat Detection: Ability to identify and respond to suspicious activity using SIEM and monitoring tools.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to assess and respond to complex security events.
• Communication: Clear and concise reporting of incidents and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in log analysis, documentation, and policy enforcement.

Required Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology or degree in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related domain.
• Strong attention to detail in data handling and integration logic to ensure accuracy and compliance.
