Kiya.ai is looking for a Securities Operations Analyst to join our team, working with our client BNP Paribas in their Wealth Management Operations department. This role is based in Malad, Mumbai.

About the Role:

As a Securities Operations Analyst, you'll be a key part of the Securities Masterfile (SECM) team, which is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and pricing of securities within the Wealth Management Asia portfolio. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data that supports all investment and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with BNP Paribas operational permanent control framework and all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident reporting through the Incident Management System.
  • Validate and process data from various market providers like Bloomberg, Telekurs, and fund houses for new security setups.
  • Create and maintain security records in the Securities Masterfile application, ensuring timely and accurate data input.
  • Monitor and update mark-to-market (MTM) prices, coordinating with the BFI middle office, fund managers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Load price files promptly and follow up on any missing or anomalous pricing data.
  • Execute manual pricing updates when necessary.
  • Participate in application enhancement and version upgrade initiatives.
  • Engage in the bank's Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and document any quality issues.
  • Provide coverage for team members during their absence.

  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to manage time and resources efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively within and across teams, maintaining professionalism and mutual respect.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Power BI is an added advantage.

Behavioral:

  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in financial services or securities operations.
  • Familiarity with market data vendors and applications is a plus.
