Job Purpose/ Summary
The Head – Store (Steel Vertical. will lead and oversee end-to-end store and inventory operations across multiple locations (6 stores. within the steel vertical. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient material management, digitalization of store processes, inventory optimization, and seamless coordination across bulk and consumable stores.
This leadership position focuses on driving operational excellence, implementing data-driven decision-making (MIS & Analytics., and developing high-performing teams while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and cost efficiency in all store functions.

The role involves strategic and operational management of stores across geographically dispersed locations, ensuring standardization, process optimization, and digital transformation.
Key Aspects Include
Lead multi-location store operations for the steel vertical, ensuring uniform processes and controls. Drive digitalization initiatives such as ERP/WMS implementation, automation, barcode/RFID systems, and real-time inventory tracking. Oversee bulk material stores and consumable stores, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and issuance. Ensure effective material planning, stock control, and inventory optimization to reduce carrying costs and avoid stock-outs. Develop and monitor MIS reports, dashboards, and analytics for informed decision-making. Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and finance teams for seamless operations. Establish strong governance, audit controls, and compliance frameworks across all stores. Lead and mentor store teams across all locations, ensuring capability development and performance management. Implement best practices in safety, housekeeping (5S., and statutory compliance.
Principal Accountabilities
Ensure accurate receipt storage issuance and documentation of materials maintaining optimum inventory levels for raw materials workinprogress finished goods and consumablesbr Monitor and control inventory discrepancies shrinkage and aging stock conducting periodic stock audits cycle counts and reconciliationbr Manage and standardize operations across six different store locations ensuring process uniformity coordination and visibility across all sitesbr Optimize interstore material movement and availability overseeing material planning classification and codificationbr Ensure proper handling of bulk materials such as steel and raw materials and consumables improving inventory turnover and working capital efficiencybr Lead the implementation and enhancement of ERPWMS systems driving automation initiatives like barcode RFID handheld devices and digital dashboardsbr Ensure realtime data accuracy and system discipline across stores developing and monitoring store MIS reports and KPIsbr Analyze data for inventory trends consumption patterns and cost optimization presenting insights to management for strategic decisionsbr Lead mentor and develop store teams across all locations building a highperformance accountable and processdriven culturebr Drive training programs on systems SOPs and best practices ensuring adherence to internal controls audit requirements and statutory regulationsbr Maintain proper documentation and traceability of materials implementing safety standards and 5S practices across all storesbr Identify and implement process improvements and costsaving initiatives benchmarking with industry best practices and driving lean inventory and operational excellence initiatives
