Job Description

Technical Project Engineering

Technical Project Engineering covers a broad range of engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, structural, automation, and software engineering. The activities involved in project engineering include discipline-specific engineering and design, planning, risk assessments, and coordination of resources (personnel and equipment).

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Engineering Development:
  • Ensure engineering development is complete, and multidisciplinary information is integrated.
  • Lead development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges.
  • Drive the completion of all engineering activities on the project.
  • Coordinate engineering disciplines across multiple projects.
  • Provide technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Design and conduct experiments, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Prepare complete project documentation within the area of responsibility.
  • Act as design authority for a particular engineering discipline and complete assignments accordingly.
  • Quality and Cost Management:
  • Provide cost-effective, quality solutions while delivering within budget and contract terms.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks.
  • Project Planning:
  • Create work plans and cost estimates.
  • Review and approve scope, budget, and schedule for assignments.
  • Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain partners.

Senior Professional (P3) Role:

  • Applies advanced knowledge typically gained through higher education and extensive work experience.
  • May manage projects or processes independently with limited supervision.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
  • Handles difficult and sometimes complex problems.
