Role Overview
You're not just an SEO lead you're a strategic thinker and execution leader. You understand the fundamentals of search deeply (technical, content, UX) and are forward-looking in how AI is reshaping discovery. You can work across product, tech, and content teams and influence decision-making with data, logic, and persuasion.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive SEO strategy from the ground up using first-principle thinking.
- Ensure technical SEO hygiene (site architecture, indexing, speed, schema, etc.) in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Lead on-page and content strategy with an editorial mindset balancing high-volume queries with high-intent long tail.
- Identify and implement AI-era adaptations to SEO, including:
- Ranking in Google's evolving Search Generative Experience (SGE)
- Positioning for zero-click search and GPT-style query interfaces
- Leveraging structured data, brand authority, and niche dominance
- Collaborate cross-functionally across teams (Tech, Content, Growth, Analytics) to get things shipped and improved.
- Report directly to leadership with clear metrics and outcomes.
Must Have
- 57 years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale SEO initiatives from concept to execution.
- Strong technical SEO foundation: HTML/CSS, structured data, Core Web Vitals, crawl optimization.
- Deep knowledge of on-page SEO, content clustering, keyword targeting, and UX alignment.
- Proficiency with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMRush, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to raise flags, and push for change across silos.
- Curious and self-driven to stay ahead of industry trends and algorithm updates.
- Bonus: Experience with AI + SEO tools, prompt-based search engines, or generative content.
