Role Overview

We are looking for a Local SEO Associate/Senior Associate with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Local SEO. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Google My Business (GMB) optimization, local citations, review management, hyperlocal content strategies, and broader SEO initiatives that drive overall organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Google My Business (GMB) Management

  • Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles (GBP/GMB) for all locations.
  • Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across directories.
  • Regularly post updates, offers, and promotions on GMB listings.
  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews and Q&A for reputation management.

2. Local SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Optimize store landing pages with local keywords and schema markup.
  • Build and manage local citations across high-authority directories.
  • Conduct local competitor analysis and identify gaps & opportunities.
  • Work with content teams to create hyperlocal blog content targeting location-based searches.

3. Technical & On-Page Local SEO

  • Implement and monitor structured data (LocalBusiness Schema, FAQ Schema, etc.).
  • Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking for local search rankings.
  • Fix technical SEO issues affecting local rankings (mobile-friendliness, page speed, indexing).

4. Local Link Building & Outreach

  • Identify and acquire high-quality local backlinks from business directories, local news sites, community blogs, and niche platforms.
  • Partner with local influencers, bloggers, and businesses for local PR opportunities.

5. General Organic Growth Initiatives (Beyond Local SEO)

  • Content Strategy:
  • Conduct keyword research and collaborate with writers to create blog content targeting relevant non-local keywords.
  • Optimize existing blog pages and landing pages for better rankings.
  • SEO Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Track organic traffic trends and identify opportunities for overall growth.
  • Monitor Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics (GA4) for traffic drops, technical issues, and ranking improvements.
  • Link Building & PR SEO:
  • Identify opportunities for high-quality backlinks from industry-related publications and blogs.
  • Work on guest posting and partnership-based link-building initiatives to improve domain authority.

Key Requirements

2-3 years of hands-on experience in Local SEO from an agency or a business with multiple local stores.

Strong knowledge of Google My Business (GBP/GMB) optimization & local ranking factors, and the ability to handle multiple locations

Experience in local citation building and NAP consistency across directories.

Proficiency in using Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightLocal, Whitespark, and Moz Local.

Hands-on experience with on-page optimizations for local landing pages.

Familiarity with local and non-local link-building strategies and outreach techniques.

Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights for improving rankings and traffic.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across teams and respond to reviews.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Understanding of hyperlocal content marketing.

Familiarity with PPC for Local Search Ads (Google Ads).

Experience in local schema markup implementation.

Experience in non-local content SEO growth strategies.
