Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in automation testing using Java, Selenium, and Playwright. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing scalable automation frameworks, executing end-to-end testing, and ensuring high product quality across web applications and APIs.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
  
• Build robust automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Playwright
  
• Enhance existing frameworks for better maintainability and execution efficiency
  
  

2. Functional & Regression Testing

• Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
  
• Validate application functionality across different browsers and environments
  
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for critical business workflows.
  
  

3. API & Backend Testing

• Perform API automation and validation testing
  
• Validate REST APIs and backend services using automation tools/frameworks
  
• Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects early in the cycle.
  
  

4. CI/CD & Agile Practices

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  
  
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for automated deployments and testing
  
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  
  

5. Defect Tracking & Quality Assurance

• Identify, log, track, and verify defects
  
  
• Perform root cause analysis and support issue resolution
  
• Ensure high-quality deliverables within defined timelines
  
  

6. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA teams
  
• Participate in requirement analysis and test planning discussions
  
• Provide regular updates on automation progress and testing status
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation
  
• Strong hands-on experience in automation framework development
  
• Experience working in Agile development environments
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
  
• Experience with Playwright automation framework
  
• Strong understanding of automation testing concepts and best practices
  
• Experience in API testing and automation
  
• Knowledge of test frameworks such as TestNG / JUnit
  
  

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  
  
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is an added advantage.
  
  

Education qualifications:

• BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
