About the role

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions across applications, infrastructure, and business processes. This role requires hands-on expertise in scripting, automation frameworks, and cloud deployments, along with the ability to integrate automation into large-scale CI/CD and DevOps workflows.

As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to architectural discussions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure automation solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation scripts, frameworks, and tooling.
• Optimize existing automation workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Automate deployments and operations on cloud platforms (AWS).
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Operations, and Product teams to align automation with system and business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for all automation solutions.
• Contribute to automation best practices, coding standards, and governance processes.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in building automation skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 4-7 years in automation engineering, test automation, or DevOps-focused development roles.
• Proven track record of delivering automation solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and continuous delivery practices.
• Experience integrating automation solutions with large-scale systems and pipelines.

Skills

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages: Python, Java, PowerShell, Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience on API Automation OR UI Automation.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with cloud automation (AWS).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong debugging and optimization skills.
