About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who thinks like a developer and acts like a quality champion. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring high product quality through strong engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver
- Develop and execute REST API automation using Rest Assured or similar tools
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the SDLC
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation scripts
- Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and track them to closure
- Manage code repositories using Git
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality engineering practices
- Validate backend data using SQL queries
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and standards
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience in REST API testing and automation
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Experience with JMeter for performance testing
- Working knowledge of Git version control
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation
- Familiarity with Eclipse/IntelliJ
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or TestNG
- Exposure to Docker or cloud environments
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
