We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with exceptional Ruby on Rails skills who can independently deliver high-impact features while maintaining close alignment with business teams and clients. This role requires a high level of ownership and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
- Own end-to-end feature development, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and scaling.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Contribute to system performance improvements, scalability planning, and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with backend systems and strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade software in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with Kafka and RabbitMQ, Docker, Microsoft Azure, and GraphQL.
- Prior experience with LLMs and OpenAI API integrations is required.
- High levels of ownership, accountability, and autonomy.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical teams and clients.
- Strong grasp of backend architecture, database optimization, and DevOps fundamentals.
