We are looking for an experienced and certified Scrum Master to join our Agile delivery team within the financial and accounting domain. The Scrum Master working in close co-ordination with Product Owners and the Engineering tea, will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality product delivery aligned with US financial regulations and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Agile/Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Serve as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to deliver financial and accounting software products that meet US market standards.
- Identify and remove team impediments and risks to delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, team performance) to stakeholders and leadership.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and retrospectives.
- Support the team in maintaining a healthy backlog and upholding Definition of Done.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
- Ensure alignment with financial compliance standards such as US GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (e.g., PSM I).
- Overall 9+ years and out of that 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the financial services or accounting software domain.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles and frameworks.
- Experience working with US-based finance and accounting teams and familiarity with regulatory constraints (e.g., SOX compliance).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Big Picture, Confluence, Rally, or AWS DevOps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Scrum certifications (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM).
- Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus) including working with diverse stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Understanding of accounting systems, ERP platforms, or financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge or understanding of AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, Profit and Loss, Income Journal, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Month End Closing
- Familiarity with US financial compliance frameworks (e.g., SEC reporting, tax laws)
