Accountabilities

  • Work closely with Delivery Lead and Release Train Engineer to align with client expectations.
  • Manage one or more Scrum teams across multiple time zones.
  • Accountable for all Agile ceremonies of a Scrum team including planning, review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, while supporting teams ability to self-organize and self-facilitate.
  • Trains, mentors, and supports Scrum teams and others within the enterprise to follow and deeply understand Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Guide the team in epic creation, decomposition and multi-sprint planning.
  • Support the estimation and prioritization of user stories.
  • Mitigate risks and blockers through stakeholder relationships to ensure continuous delivery.
  • Collect, track, and report Agile metrics on performance and progress.
  • Coordinate with other Agile teams to ensure alignment and management of dependencies in addition to participation in Scrum of Scrums.
  • Ensures a safe environment for the team to raise and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that proper documentation is prioritized and added to the team's backlog of work.
  • Ensure the team embraces the agile principles, values and framework.
  • Coach the team and help lead and ensure the agile mindset is adopted and understood.
  • Assess and coach the team to higher levels of performance, focus, commitment, respect, and openness while tracking acceleration metrics.
  • Encourage an environment of open communication and collaborative problem solving and where the impact of mistakes can be minimized through early detection as well as making them into learning opportunities and foster championing continuous improvement.
  • Promote the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization. This includes leading teams and influencing leaders and partners as they learn and adopt Agile practices by supporting them through coaching, mentoring, facilitating and teaching.

Skills And Experience

  • Good understanding of API architecture frameworks, security, patterns, model and delivery.
  • Experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
  • Knowledge of API development in AWS Serverless environment working with AWS Lambda and AWS API Gateway etc.
  • Hands-on experience and previous accountability for delivery outcomes using Agile practices with disciplined expertise in Scrum.
  • 8+ years of experience successfully using Agile frameworks.
  • Patience and empathy working with mentees and people new to Agile.
  • Interact effectively with senior leadership.
  • Experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams.
  • Experience in Agile Toolset (JIRA) preferred.
  • Agile methodology training, certification preferred.
  • Experience in Agile Toolset (Confluence, Planview) would be an asset.
  • Experience in insurance or financial industry is an asset.
