Advanced Senior Scrum Master Job Description

Responsibilities:

Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for multiple teams.

Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the backlog across teams.

Remove Impediments: Identify and address any blockers that hinder the progress of any team.

Coach and Mentor: Provide advanced guidance on Scrum practices and principles to team members and other Scrum Masters.

Ensure Adherence: Ensure all teams follow Scrum methodologies and agile practices.

Track Progress: Monitor and report on project progress and team performance across multiple teams.

Promote Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within and across teams.

Scale Agile Practices: Implement and manage scaled agile practices to ensure effective coordination between teams.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification. Advanced Scrum Master certification (e.g., PSM II, A-CSM) is highly desirable.

Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with significant experience managing multiple agile teams.

Skills: Strong understanding of agile methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), excellent communication, conflict resolution, and team leadership skills.

Desired Skills:

Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and other agile practices.

Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Miro and other project management tools.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead multiple agile teams and drive effective project management.

Advanced Practices: Experience with advanced Scrum practices and techniques.
