Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Facilitation:
- Facilitate and schedule all core Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Demos, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure ceremonies are purposeful, timeboxed, and outcome driven. Especially during high dependency planning cycles.
- Support teams in maintaining healthy sprint flow, commitments, and delivery predictability.
- Support teams working in Scrum and hybrid Scrum/Kanban models, as relevant to team maturity and work type
Team Coaching & Continuous Improvement
- Coach teams on Scrum principles, Agile practices, and self-management.
- Promote continuous improvement using data (flow metrics, retrospectives, and team feedback).
- Help teams navigate change, ambiguity, and dependencies with confidence.
Impediment & Risk Management
- Identify, track, and actively remove impediments impacting team delivery.
- Escalate risks and dependencies appropriately, partnering with PO, RTE, and leadership.
- Protect the team from unnecessary interruptions and scope-creep.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
- Partner closely with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritization, and readiness.
- Collaborate with RTEs, other Scrum Masters, and cross team stakeholders to manage dependencies.
- Provide transparency into progress, risks, and outcomes through dashboards and regular updates.
Process
- Maintain Agile boards and dashboards to ensure accurate tracking and visibility.
- Support teams in adopting agreed processes while continuously improving them.
- Contribute to broader Agile ways of working, especially during team or organizational transitions.
Tools
- Jira – sprint execution, backlog health, dashboards, flow tracking
- Miro – PI Planning, cross ART dependency boards, workshops
- TeamRetro – sprint, PI, and transition retrospectives
- MS Excel – capacity planning, simple metrics
- AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Agile AI assistants) – supporting facilitation, insights, and summarization where appropriate
- Microsoft Teams – collaboration, facilitation, documentation, and communication
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery teams
Strong practical knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
Experience facilitating teams through planning, execution, review, and improvement cycles
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe SSM)
Experience working in scaled Agile / SAFe environments
Experience supporting teams during organizational or tooling transitions
