Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) for two or more agile teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strong adherence to Agile fundamentals and principles within the teams, promoting self-organization and accountability.
  • Drive alignment and effective communication between Product Owners, Engineers, and leadership to ensure shared understanding and common goals.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to leadership regarding project delivery status, impediments, and critical decisions required to support project execution, including securing necessary sign-offs.
  • Lead and contribute to technical program conversations, including architectural approaches and system design, effectively articulating solutions and collaborating to co-develop documentation.
  • Champion and instill documentation best practices to ensure designs meet requirements and facilitate the ongoing maintenance and development of technical and regulatory solutions.
  • Proactively document technical debt and health features to be delivered in upcoming Program Increments (PIs) within JIRA.
  • Finalize team commitments and sprint plans in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring realistic and achievable goals.
  • Conduct PI Readiness assessments, evaluating the completeness and readiness of features from a technical perspective for each Program Increment.
  • Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, developing effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Define and track key project milestones and manage the overall release plan.
  • Possess a good understanding of the underlying technology stack to effectively plan work, guide technical discussions, and facilitate progress.

Required Skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience with Agile principles and Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience handling 2-3 scrum teams as a Scrum Master.
  • Good knowledge and practical experience with SAFe Agile framework, including a strong understanding of PI planning.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical aspects and effectively converse with technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using agile project management tools like JIRA.
