JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master who will play a key role in driving Agile practices, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the development team is well-supported and focused on delivering high-quality solutions. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of AWS and cloud-based solutions, helping guide the team in leveraging AWS tools and services to enhance product development.
Key Responsibilities:Agile Process Leadership:
- Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and helping teams stay focused and productive.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the development team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of goals, progress, and dependencies.
- Help prioritize the product backlog and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Ensure transparency of team progress and issues through the use of Agile metrics (burndown charts, velocity, etc.).
Continuous Improvement:
- Encourage teams to continuously improve their processes and workflows.
- Lead and support retrospectives to identify process bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile best practices.
AWS Knowledge Integration:
- Leverage AWS knowledge to guide teams in selecting and utilizing appropriate cloud-based services to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
- Help integrate AWS tools into the Agile development pipeline, ensuring streamlined CI/CD processes.
- Assist the team in maintaining AWS cost efficiency while building and deploying solutions in the cloud.
Team and Process Optimization:
- Build strong, high-functioning teams through team-building activities and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in the removal of impediments and blockers that may affect team progress, utilizing AWS tools and services when applicable.
- Promote and ensure adherence to quality standards, coding best practices, and documentation.
Qualifications:Required:Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment, supporting cross-functional development teams.
- Hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and experience working with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native applications.
Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Developer - Associate (preferred but not required).
Skills:
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving ability, with the capability to remove roadblocks and optimize team performance.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred:- Experience working with distributed teams in a multi-cloud environment.
- Familiarity with AWS DevOps tools (e.g., CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeCommit).
- Experience working in a DevOps or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment.
