Experience: 15 years of experience in probiotics, fermentation, microbiology, or nutraceutical research.

Qualifications: B.Sc or M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Microbial Management: Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in handling, identifying, and maintaining probiotic strains, ensuring culture purity and viability throughout the R&D process.

Experimental Design: Design and execute experiments based on project requirements, focusing on fermentation optimization, strain stability, and microbial performance.

Fermentation Scaling: Manage lab-scale and pilot-scale fermentation processes, monitoring growth parameters, metabolic activity, and production yields.

Product Development: Support the development of new nutraceutical and probiotic formulations, ensuring efficacy, quality, and shelf-life stability.

Analytical Testing: Conduct routine microbiological assays, including CFU enumeration, purity testing, and biochemical profiling of microbial cultures.

Quality & Compliance: Maintain laboratory practices in accordance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Regulatory Oversight: Ensure laboratory and product workflows comply with FSSAI regulations and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System standards, and support regulatory documentation and compliance activities.

Data Analysis: Analyze experimental results and provide insights to R&D and production teams to improve fermentation processes and product performance.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of experimental data, fermentation logs, SOPs, and regulatory documentation.

Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge of probiotic strains, microbial culture handling, and fermentation processes.

Understanding of GMP practices, GLP standards, ISO 22000, and FSSAI regulatory requirements.

Experience with microbiological analysis, fermentation optimization, and product stability testing.

Good analytical, research, and documentation skills.
