The antibody team is involved in engineering and development of antibodies, with a deep focus on reagent quality and specificity. The core activities of team include design, development, purification, conjugation and testing of antibodies in a variety of immunoassay applications using pioneering tools and technologies. The goal of the program is advanced product development and creation of product specific information to promote research use.
Perform in a fast-paced environment towards antibody development & testing
Serve as technical lead to help evaluate and develop genAI and computational platforms to facilitate high throughput workflows in recombinant antibody development platforms
Informal leadership of team of scientists in matrix style operation, provide technical and operational supervision. Mentoring and training junior scientists in computational biology and bioinformatics, interpreting data and data presentation to collaborators and partners.
Serve as authority in the field of computational biology, bioinformatics, and next generation sequencing pipelines to provide inputs and guidance towards driving innovation and collaborations.
Partner with supporting functions such as product management, program management, operations, and business development to meet program goals.
Candidate Requirement:
Education & Experience levels:
PhD with 5 to 7 years experience, or
Master's degree with 10 to 13 years experience
Applicants should have a degree in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology or related field with a strong focus on sequence analysis and sequencing pipelines, computational or genAI based methods for protein/antibody design.
Extensive experience with computational protein design and engineering, bioinformatics analysis, next generation sequencing analysis pipelines
Expert level proficiency in Python, R, bioinformatics/computational biology and statistical tools like Pymol, Chimera, BLAST, Alphafold, ggplot etc. Proficiency in deep learning models and/or knowledge of large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and experience in implementing these tools to biological questions is highly desirable.
Experience with website and/or database design using various platforms such as HTML, JavaScript, ShinyR, PowerApps etc
Broad knowledge of antibody development and engineering including hybridoma, display technologies, single B cell, and other antibody platforms is a plus
Experience in people mentorship and supervision is a plus
Authorship of peer-reviewed publications with post-doctoral experience and a strong, independent understanding of standard and emerging trends in the field are preferred.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced research environment.
