About the Position:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Scientist/Executive to support wet-lab operations in the Genomics laboratory. The role involves performing DNA extraction, quality assessment, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation for clinical genetic testing workflows including prenatal and postnatal diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform genomic DNA extraction from various clinical samples (blood, CVS, amniotic fluid, POC, saliva, etc.)

Conduct DNA quality control using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, and gel electrophoresis

Perform NGS library preparation following validated SOPs

Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and batch records

Follow contamination control practices in PCR/NGS workflows

Assist in sample tracking and laboratory inventory management

Adhere to laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements

Support troubleshooting and optimization of wet-lab workflows when required

Required Qualifications:

MSc / MTech in Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences field

02 years of experience in molecular biology or genomics laboratory

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience in DNA extraction and QC

Exposure to NGS library preparation workflows

Knowledge of PCR techniques

Familiarity with laboratory quality systems (NABL/ISO standards)

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs

Key Competencies:

Ability to work in a regulated clinical diagnostics environment
