Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Contributing Writer for Bengali ePatrika (published quarterly) with a focus on science topics. The Contributing Writer will be responsible for:

• Researching, writing, and submitting original articles and essays that align with the webzine's mission.
• Regular tasks will include creating engaging content, collaborating with the editorial team for revisions
• Meeting publication deadlines for each of the four sets of ePatrika published annually

Qualifications

• Strong writing skills in Bengali language
• Experience in conducting research and crafting original science-related articles
• Proficiency in editing and proofreading content in Bengali
• Ability to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly and engagingly
• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines remotely
• Interest in promoting scientific thinking and environmental awareness
• Background in science or related fields is a plus
• Previous experience in content creation or journalism is beneficial

Assignment rate

• 1 Assignment of 1000-1500 words every 2 months (Please note that writing science articles in Bengali requires time, hence we allow this much time to write)

Payment Method

• Payment is released immediately after the assignment is approved
• Payment rate ranges from 0.40 to 0.60 ppw, depending on the quality of writing
