Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery

Lead end-to-end development of Scala-based applications, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
Own technical design, architecture decisions, and implementation strategy for key modules and services.
Drive code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure maintainable, testable codebases.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and convert them into robust technical solutions. Scala Ecosystem & Framework Expertise
Build and enhance services using Scala and Play Framework, focusing on performance and scalability.
Implement concurrency and resilience patterns using Akka where appropriate.
Manage builds and dependencies using SBT/Scala Build Tool, improving build reliability and speed.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis with preventive actions. Team Mentorship & Engineering Excellence
Mentor engineers, support skill development, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Guide estimation, planning, and execution with a focus on predictable delivery and quality outcomes.
Promote best practices for documentation, testing, and operational readiness. Minimum Qualifications:
BTECH, MTECH, MCA, or MSC in Computer Science or a related field.
5–9 years of overall experience with strong hands-on Scala development experience.
Proven experience delivering applications using Scala with Play Framework and Akka.
Strong working knowledge of SBT/Scala Build Tool for build, dependency, and release management.
Experience leading technical delivery, conducting code reviews, and guiding engineering best practices. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant services and applying reactive/concurrency patterns effectively.
Strong understanding of API design, performance tuning, and production readiness for Scala services.
Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, drive technical alignment, and improve engineering processes.
Experience improving CI/CD build pipelines and optimizing SBT workflows for faster feedback cycles.
Track record of collaborating across teams (product/QA/devops/architecture) to deliver measurable outcomes.
