Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in Scala and Akka to build scalable, high-performance distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and a solid understanding of microservices architecture. You should be passionate about building resilient systems and solving complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Scala

Build reactive and distributed systems using Akka (Akka Actors, Akka Streams, Akka HTTP)

Develop and deploy microservices-based architectures

Work with AWS services for cloud-native application development and deployment

Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance optimization

Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, frontend, data teams)

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong programming experience in Scala

Hands-on experience with Akka toolkit (Actors, Streams, HTTP)

Solid understanding of distributed systems and concurrency

Experience building microservices architectures

Good knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)

Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous processing

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
