Role Description
Swissplast AG is looking for a proactive, accountable, and decisive SAP Team Lead to guide our Order Management and Purchasing departments. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our daily operations, ensuring system accuracy while empowering and managing our SAP end users. If you excel in SAP SD and MM modules and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise, support, and guide a dedicated team of SAP end users across the Order Management and Purchasing departments.
- Training & Onboarding: Actively train new employees on SAP processes and departmental procedures, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.
- Process Optimization: Develop, maintain, and refine SOPs, workflow documentation, and process standards.
- Data-Driven Operations: Analyze and continuously improve daily operations utilizing SAP reports and advanced Excel tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with production, logistics, and finance teams to align on business objectives.
- Transaction Accuracy: Ensure all purchasing and order-related transactions are executed flawlessly and on schedule.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Act as the department's primary decision-maker—staying proactive, quick on your feet, and highly accountable.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of a strong SAP background, particularly in purchasing, or order management in a manufacturing setup.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in SAP SD and MM modules. Familiarity with the PP module is a strong plus!
- Leadership: Proven track record in leadership, fully capable of managing people and handling department-level responsibilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing experience is required, ideally within the plastics industry or similar production environments.
- Languages: Native or bilingual proficiency in English; German communication skills are a distinct advantage.
- System Proficiency: Excellent SAP SD and MM skills (primarily in ECC; having Hana as well is a bonus) and advanced Excel.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, confident, and an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving and documentation abilities. Cross-functional project experience is highly valued.
- Personality: A spirit of quick learning and adaptability.
